Emergency AGP update
As of this week our practice is undertaking emergency AGP treatment as well as routine non-AGP treatment. This means that if a patient is suffering pain that requires an aerosol generating procedure e.g. root canal treatment, we will able to provide care within our practice instead of travelling to Urgent Dental Care Clinics else in Lanarkshire. We have been undertaking Non-AGP treatment since June.
We are still not undertaking routine fillings & other routine AGP’s. We do not know when the practice will be resuming them. The Chief Dental Officer for Scotland in July asked the Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme team, in conjunction with the UK Cochrane Oral Health team, to evaluate how best to manage AGP’s in dentistry. This review is still taking place. The findings will lead the Government’s future vision for dentistry.
We are working through our backlog of exams so you may receive a phone call from one of our dental nurses in the next couple of weeks.
If you have any dental problems or concerns, no matter how small, please phone our practice 01555 893992. If non urgent you can email us as well on email@example.com .
You can look at our website www.rcdental.co.uk and our facebook page R Coventry Dental Practice as well for any updates on our practice.
